It’s one of the worst feelings and it’s made even more uncomfortable by the shame that often hops on for the ride.
Jealousy.
It’s a long way from gorgeous.
Keep it hidden because no one likes jealous people.
Keep it hidden because it shows that you can’t get what you want, that you lack something that’s important to you.
Yuk.
So no one wants it, but nearly everyone experiences it.
What can we do with it? First part is to deal with the feelings about the feeling.
I was in a training class yesterday evening and after a lot of trepidation, told the whole group that I had been feeling jealous. After I described the circumstances, it turns out that everyone knew exactly what I was talking about and 90% admitted they feel jealous and they hate feeling like that just as much as I do.
This was such a relief. It is just a passing feeling like all the others, and it doesn’t even mean anything about you.
