I began learning Thai Massage on a whim. A bunch of friends gave me an intro course as a birthday gift. I was initially freaked out by the flexibility and strength required - not to mention a completely new way of looking at the body.

But I was hooked on Day 2 and never looked back. Once you learn the techniques, you use counterweight, body weight and balance rather than strength to do the treatments. As an artist who has always worked with the body, I was in my element and go to work drawing the beautiful forms that the masseur and client create together.
